What is the opportunity?

Culture Lab is Culture Amp’s in-house research institute, where we analyse the world’s biggest collection of employee insights to help our customers solve their top culture challenges. We are searching for a Data Engineer to join our team in Melbourne to take our insights and innovation to the next level. As part of the Data Enrichment team, you’ll build the data pipelines that power our industry-leading benchmarks, diversity and inclusion research, and predictive analytics. This is a chance to have a huge impact on transforming the world of work for the better—and learn a lot in the process.

What will you bring to the Camp?

Data engineering is an emerging and rapidly changing discipline, and we recognize that every data engineer will have a unique blend of skills. We’re looking for someone with a mix of software engineering fundamentals (preferably Python, but not required), data savviness (some SQL chops), and experience with cloud infrastructure (we work in AWS, but experience with any provider is fine). 

Example activities

  • Write a pipeline using Metaflow to process and standardise demographic data from customers to power DEI research
  • Uplift an NLP pipeline to match questions to our survey templates across languages
  • Create high-quality curated benchmark datasets that provide value while preserving our customers’ privacy
