Who we are looking for

At Frankie, we believe that our success is directly tied to the value our customers derive from our product. We demonstrate Frankie’s flexibility by designing and delivering the right experiences for our customers, their teams, and the individuals within.
As a solution architect, you are a pivotal team member working hand in hand with both the Sales team and Customer Success services team. You will engage with our largest and most strategic customers to assess and craft the technical rollout and launch plan for Frankie from our earliest interactions.
You’ll be supporting the sales team product positioning, evaluating customer environments and defining application requirements, performing product demonstrations, and winning the confidence of customer prospects.
You’ll also conduct detailed technical discovery workshops and assess cultural, structural, security and business functions while translating these findings for a foundational Frankie solution built for scale and flexibility. This design will include details on the customer portal workspaces, integration to partners, user management, authentication and settings required to ensure there are no technical barriers to user adoption of Frankie. You will be responsible for advising on integration implementations, including key production systems from the Frankie API to recommended KYC, AML and other 3rd party providers to meet customer needs. In this role you'll be strategically advising customers on how best to implement Frankie’s single APIsand Developer tool kits.
As a start-up, you’ll also have direct and significant input into shaping “the Frankie way”. We’ll look to you to identify ways to make onboarding for Frankie customers even easier. This may include better documentation or even making suggestions in the way Frankie works at an integration level. You’ll be constantly comparing our onboarding experience against best practices and look for ways of enhancing Frankie.

You have

Excellent people skills and enjoy working with customers closely, demonstrated by 5+ years of previous development, consulting, professional services or sales engineering experience
Hands-on proficiency with at least one programming language such as: Java, Golang, Python, etc
Hands-on proficiency with swagger/open APIs
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to go a mile deep with technical customer resources or to explain the most basic capabilities to a business user.
Excellent presentation skills for communicating both business oriented solutions and advanced technical concepts
Experience leading and crafting technical projects, engaging with, and motivating change across multiple levels of IT executives and organizations
Past experience working directly with Sales and Success teams, Consultants, and System Integrators
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business or similar field
Nice to haves
A background in software engineering would be a plus. We’re a Golang shop
Exposure to any of Golang, Javascript (vue.js), AWS, Kafka, Json
Experience writing high quality acceptance criteria
Experience working in or with a product team
Experience working with tenders / RFPs / RFIs

What you will be doing

Provide technical product capability expertise and positioning
Facilitate customer facing workshops and perform demonstrations over web conference or in live meetings
Win the confidence of colleagues and client prospects as an expert technical resource
Present detailed technical information and benefits of Frankie’s platform to a wide array of customers, including line of business managers, developers, technical architects, and executives
Quickly grasp technical client requirements and articulate a matching solution architecture in writing (including RFI/RFP)
Assist in a secure setup of the customer’s Frankie environment based on IT, governance, and technical requirements
Assist the sales teams to qualify prospects based on technical feasibility.
Monitor sales progress with CRM tools
Provide product, systems, and technical training to new and existing employees on an as needed basis
Work with sales, customer, and product teams to design and develop winning solutions, input into product development, and improve implementation
Understand detailed integration with other systems and apps, including identity management, eDiscovery, data loss prevention, other SaaS products, and internal systems

The Team

You will be reporting to Warren Oakes, FrankieOne’s COO, and working closely with Simon Costello, FrankieOne’s CEO and executive for Sales.

Warren has spent the best part of the last decade working at the intersection of Banking and Technology. He has spent over 7 years at McKinsey & Company where he was an Associate Partner specialising in Digital Business builds. He is also experienced at growing Ventures, and worked alongside our CEO Simon Costello at CompareAsia Group in SE Asia.
What success looks like
In your first month, we will give you the full induction so that you understand the company culture, the product, the product architecture and your team. We will ensure that you have all the tools that you need to be successful. We’ll assist you in walking through the onboarding process from start to finish.
By 3 months you’ll be independently supporting sales teams with product positioning, evaluating customer environments and defining application requirements, performing product demonstrations, and winning the confidence of customer prospects. You will provide feedback to the customer and product teams to help streamline and improve the onboarding process.
By 6 months your work will have made a significant impact on the pre-sales and onboarding experience at Frankie. You will have recommended product enhancements, designed winning solutions and uplifted our internal capabilities on how we engage our customers.

The  Logistics

The full-time role will be based in our Docklands, Melbourne office or York St, Sydney Office. As mentioned above, we have a flexible work-from-home policy though we are in the office on Wednesdays and Fridays as a minimum (COVID excepting) so we can maintain our vibrant office culture and use these days for team collaboration / problem-solving.

Our interview process will involve a series of interviews with the senior management team and technology leadership at FrankieOne.
