About the Role:
Plenti is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to strengthen and operationalise our Compliance Program as our business continues to grow.
Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, this role is responsible for ensuring appropriate regulatory guardrails are in place, enabling sustainable growth and supporting Senior Management to meet their accountabilities. You will bring subject matter expertise across AML/CTF, NCCP and Privacy, ensuring obligations are clearly understood and effectively embedded across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls in line with our regulatory framework
• Monitoring and interpreting evolving regulatory requirements and advising Senior Management on impact and changes
• Ensure all marketing materials, website content, and client communications comply with regulatory and company advertising guidelines
• Oversee the review and ongoing effectiveness of Target Market Determinations (TMDs), ensuring they clearly define positive and negative target markets
• Maintain and enhance the company's AML/CTF program in accordance with AUSTRAC requirements
• Oversee customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and ongoing customer monitoring processes
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs) and Threshold Transaction Reports (TTs) to AUSTRAC
• Conduct periodic AML/CTF risk assessments and ensure appropriate controls are in place
• Design and deliver compliance education and training, lifting awareness and engagement
About You:
You will have at least 5 years’ compliance experience within a regulated financial services environment, ideally in lending. The ideal candidate will bring broad compliance expertise, with experience in fintech or other regulated industries considered advantageous.
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, Risk Management, or a related field
• In-depth knowledge of compliance within the Australian lending framework, including NCCP, AML/CTF, and Privacy obligations
• Proven experience managing and implementing compliance projects, frameworks, and controls
• Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• The ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational processes
• A proactive, project-driven approach with a focus on delivering results
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging effectively with Senior Management and cross-functional teams
