About Megaport
We’re not your typical tech company – and we don’t want to be. Megaport is the global leader in Network as a Service (NaaS), and has transformed the way businesses connect to the cloud, data centers, and each other. We’re publicly listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and partnered with the biggest names in tech like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, IBM, and more. Headquartered in Brisbane with a crew of over 400 people spread across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas, our employees enjoy an environment that is collaborative, supportive, and (actually) fun.

Our Team Culture
We’re a team of problem solvers, pixel pushers, code slingers, and cloud fanatics. Culture is more than a poster on the wall here – collaboration beats hierarchy, curiosity fuels our growth, and everyone’s voice matters. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. We work across time zones to execute on our global vision, trust each other to get things done, and never compromise our values for commercial gain. Most importantly, we place our customers at the center of everything we do.

We’re committed to increasing representation in the tech industry and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Don’t meet every requirement? That’s okay. If you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply.

Your Role
At Megaport, we don’t just build digital infrastructure; we reimagine what that infrastructure can do. We’re a caffeine-fuelled, meme-slinging squad on a mission to make networking and compute infrastructure simple, agile, and endlessly scalable. We’re looking for a Website Marketing Specialist who treats the website like a product. You will be responsible for enhancing, maintaining, and optimising our marketing website to support business objectives, improve user experience, and drive measurable growth.

This role blends web development, technical SEO, AEO/GEO, analytics tracking, and CRO. You won’t just recommend improvements, you’ll implement them and be accountable for their impact.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing Operations and alongside our Front End Web Developer, you’ll collaborate with design, product, content, and regional marketing teams to bring bold ideas to life and ensure our website is fast, scalable, discoverable, and conversion-focused.

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain static websites and landing pages using Hugo and Jamstack tooling.
  • Own website performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and overall user experience.
  • Implement and maintain technical SEO best practices (crawlability, indexing, redirects, canonicalisation, structured data, metadata, and internal linking).
  • Optimise content and technical structure for AEO and  GEO to improve visibility across traditional search engines and AI-powered platforms.
  • Proactively monitor GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and other tools to identify issues and ship improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve front-end development issues to ensure seamless experiences across devices and browsers.
  • Implement CRO initiatives, including A/B testing (e.g. VWO) and conversion optimisation experiments.
  • Configure and manage tracking infrastructure using Google Tag Manager,GA4, Segment, and related tools.
  • Ensure client-side and server-side tracking is implemented correctly and aligned to privacy compliance requirements (GDPR, CCPA, AU Privacy Act, etc.).
  • Maintain platform configurations and collaborate with hosting providers to ensure uptime, performance, and security.
  • Maintain a clear, prioritised website backlog in Jira and close the loop on delivery.
  • Produce clear documentation: SEO audits, optimisation plans, and performance updates with measurable impact.
  • What We Are Looking For (a.k.a. your Power Ups)

  • 4+ years of experience in front-end web development, ideally in a marketing or digital performance environment.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, Tailwind, and JavaScript.
  • Experience working with Hugo or similar static site generators (SSG).
  • Experience working with CMS platforms such as CloudCannon or similar headless CMS environments.
  • Strong technical SEO capability and performance optimisation experience.
  • Understanding of modern search paradigms including SEO, AEO, and GEO.
  • Experience implementing and managing tracking with GTM, GA4, Segment, and related technologies.
  • Experience with A/B testing and CRO tools (e.g. VWO).
  • Familiarity with GitHub workflows and modern deployment pipelines.
  • Experience managing hosting environments and deployment platforms (e.g. Netlify, Cloudflare, or similar).
  • Familiarity with semantic HTML and website structure best practices.
  • Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to independently own delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Nice To Have

  • Familiarity with React or modern JS frameworks.
  • Experience working with Jamstack architectures.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or global marketing websites.
