We're Brighte.
Our mission is to make consumer energy resources (CER) affordable and accessible for everyone.

Brighte is building the platform to enable and accelerate the energy transition by making it affordable, easy and less risky to buy and sell energy equipment.

Our founder and CEO, Katherine McConnell, has been awarded Telstra Businesswoman of the year in 2020 as well as winning the Sustainability Crusader award at B&T's 2023 Women Leading Tech Awards. She is a passionate and humble leader who has a human first approach to business.

As a business in 2025, we have been named a AFR Sustainability Leader within the Banking and Finance category and won the inaugural Sustainability Award at the Affies in 2024!

About the Program
Two years. Three streams, roughly eight months in each, with end-of-rotation reviews to carry your learnings forward. This is work that connects directly to Australia's energy transition. By the time you're done, you'll have skills, experience, and an AI fluency that most people in this industry are still catching up to.

From week one, you're working on real problems with real stakes and you're doing it with AI as a core part of your toolkit. You'll build genuine AI capability fast, applied to the actual work in front of you.

One rotation might have you using AI to resolve customer disputes and holding vendors to account. The next could see you automating workflows that drive capital deployment across the country, or coordinating government clean energy programs where precision and speed both matter. Here's a bit about each stream:

Customer Advocacy
Brighte finances energy equipment, we don't sell it or install it. But when a customer's solar system isn't working and they're frustrated, they call us. This team is the reason we answer. We mediate between customers and vendors, moving complaints to resolution, and hold vendors to the standards Brighte requires. It's detailed, relational work that demands genuine empathy and a steady hand.

Day to day: High-volume, high-empathy phone work. Manage inbound complaints, liaise with vendors on the customer's behalf, track cases to resolution, and flag recurring issues for escalation.

What you'll build: Responsible lending knowledge, vendor governance, multi-party dispute resolution, and AI-assisted case management in a regulated environment.

Vendor Partnerships
Our vendors are solar installers, battery retailers, EV specialists who deploy Brighte capital every time they make a sale. They rely on us to move fast and know our stuff. Vendors who feel supported sell more. That's the commercial edge.

Day to day: Fast-paced and phone-heavy. Handle inbound vendor queries, support new vendor onboarding, troubleshoot account issues, and help vendors navigate credit decisions and program rules.

What you'll build: B2B sales and account management fundamentals, credit decision frameworks, Brighte's capital deployment models, and how AI and automation are reshaping vendor operations.

Enterprise & Government
Brighte runs clean energy finance programs on behalf of governments and large corporates. These are the most complex relationships in the business and the most stretching stream in the program. You won't be thrown in unsupported. You'll join calls alongside your senior manager and progressively take on more ownership over time.

Day to day: Stakeholder calls, briefing documents, program coordination, and partner enquiries, often on tight turnarounds. You'll work across credit, legal, product, and policy, and lead AI automation projects to reduce manual coordination overhead.

What you'll build: Government and corporate procurement knowledge, energy transition policy, executive-level written communication, cross-functional program governance, and partner-branded capital deployment at scale.

What we're looking for
This is an entry-level graduate opportunity. What we're looking for is the right person, not someone with extensive experience under their belt. We'll give you structured training, close mentorship, and the knowledge you need. A strong academic record and experience tell part of the story. We are also looking for:

High EQ. In a phone-heavy role dealing with customers, vendors, and partners, emotional intelligence is not optional.
Clear communication. In writing and on calls, you get to the point and you're easy to follow.
Initiative. You notice what needs doing and you do it without being asked.
Resilience. Things move fast here and occasionally go sideways. We need people who stay steady.
Genuine curiosity about clean energy, finance, or technology. You don't need expertise, you need interest.
AI fluency. Show us something you've built or automated. It doesn't need to be technically complex but it needs to be real.
Preferred degrees: Economics, Finance, Commerce, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Law. Strong academic results matter and they tell us you took the work seriously.

Eligibility
You graduated in 2024 or 2025, or completing your degree before April 2026.
You are an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
You are available to commence full-time from mid-April 2026.

How to apply
Send us your CV (two pages maximum) and a cover letter (one page). In the cover letter, tell us three things: which stream interests you and why, what you've built or automated with AI, and what draws you to Brighte specifically.

Applications close Friday 27 March 2026. We review on a rolling basis but earlier is better.

As part of our process, we require all candidates to undertake references and background checks, which include a police check, anti-money laundering and bankruptcy checks.
