About the Role

The People Business Partner (PBP) supports leaders and employees across our Technology, Product, and Finance teams by providing consistent, practical people partnership. This role focuses on day-to-day HR support, manager guidance, and delivery of People & Culture programs and projects.This is a hands-on role suited to someone who has previously worked as a PBP and is comfortable operating independently within established frameworks, while escalating more complex or strategic matters as needed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manager & Employee Support

Act as the primary HR contact for managers and employees within assigned teamsProvide guidance to managers on core people topics such as performance management, feedback conversations, role changes, and employee concerns

Support employee relations matters including performance issues, disciplinary actions, and exits, in partnership with the VP of P&C

Performance & Talent ProcessesSupport goal-setting, performance review cycles, and ongoing feedback processesAssist managers with development conversations, performance documentation, and improvement plansParticipate in talent review and succession discussions by preparing data, materials, and follow-ups

2. Programs & Project Delivery

Own the execution of People & Culture programs and initiatives as assigned, including coordination, rollout, and trackingContribute to the development and improvement of HR processes, templates, and documentation

Support change initiatives by ensuring clear communication and consistent adoption

3. Employee Experience & Operations

Help ensure a positive employee experience by responding to questions, resolving issues, and maintaining consistent HR practices

Partner closely with People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Finance to support smooth people processes

Ensure people practices align with local employment requirements and internal policies

4. Global Collaboration

Support globally distributed teams across Australia, EMEA, and the US

Participate in meetings outside of standard local hours as needed to support global stakeholders


What We’re Looking For

  • 4–7 years of HR experience, including prior experience in an HRBP or similar generalist role
  • Experience supporting managers and employees in fast-paced or growing environments
  • Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation; exposure to EMEA and/or US employment contexts is helpful but not required
  • Practical, solutions-focused HR partner who is comfortable following established frameworks
  • Clear and confident communicator, especially in manager and employee conversations
  • Organized and reliable, with strong follow-through
  • Good judgment and discretion when handling sensitive mattersComfortable balancing reactive HR work with assigned projects
  • Comfortable working in a remote-first, globally distributed environment
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with a willingness to ask for guidance and escalate when appropriate
