Overview of Position
Reporting to the COO, this role will be accountable for Production, Production Engineering, Procurement and Logistics Functions within the business. The role will support direct reports, Heads of Production, Production Engineering, Purchasing & Logistics and Planning, to deliver critical, near term goals while ensuring and enabling a strategic, collaborative focus on alignment and scale into the future. The role will steer the function to support business priorities, including Product and GTM strategies.
Role responsibilities
Strategic Supply Chain PlanningCreate and manage a Supply Chain Strategy that outlines an approach to scale that aligns with business objectives, including growth plans, Go To Market and Product StrategiesDevelop and execute strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and remove bottlenecksScale Supply Chain in line with business requirements, ensuring preparedness to support business outcomesCreate and maintain capacity models to support reporting, capacity planning and reporting, prioritization of resources and investment decisions.Drive rapid, resourceful scale activities to capture unforeseen opportunities when they arise.Lead a team of seasoned, experienced Supply Chain Leaders, including Head of Production, Procurement, Logistics, Production Engineering and Planning.Lead Heads of to deliver Production, Production Engineering, Procurement, Logistics and Planning short and long term outcomesEnsure a focus on COGS and margins, implementing cost controls and cost reduction processesMaintain regular product COGS review in line with business prioritiesDevelop an understanding of supply chain risks and maintain mitigation strategies, including supplier risk, equipment risk, resource risk and process risk.Compliance with regulationsAwareness of global supply chain risks and disruptionsEnsure Advanced Navigation is leveraging fit for purpose ERP tools and collaborate with IT to update and upgrade when suitable.
Skills and Experience
Bachelors or masters degree in related technical fiend, electronics or mechatronics engineering or supply chain management a plusCertifications such as CSCP, CPIM or CPSM highly valuedSignificant experience in leading and developing high-performing teams in large scale, global Electronics Manufacturing in a similar industryIn depth experience in quality control principles and practices, Supply Chain methodologies and best practiceAwareness of industry trends and advancements in Electronics manufacturing & manufacturing systemsWell-developed skills in Strategic Planning, Capacity modelling, Forecast and demand planningStrong track record in Supplier relationships and negotiation
