We are looking for Data Analysts with specialist / domain knowledge to join the Zeller Data team to support the exploration, build and experimentation of credit risk models in credit related products. This role blends expertise in data analytics with a deep understanding of credit risk and liquidity products. 

You will be a core contributor to the development and management of credit risk products at Zeller.

The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years of experience, with a strong background in data analysis, credit risk management. You should have excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of credit risk solutions within the product.

Responsibilities

Analytics + Data

  • Perform thorough analysis and articulation of credit risk model data requirements.
  • Analyse large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching. See through the data and find conclusions by data-mining activities, in-depth data analysis, validating by combining and interpreting data.
  • Develop and maintain data-driven credit risk management frameworks for credit and lending products, including secured credit cards, liquidity products, and future credit offerings.
  • Develop statistical methodologies, create robust estimations and produce the simulations on credit risk.
  • Construct and optimise credit risk models throughout the credit lifecycle to achieve target risk-adjusted returns.
  • Utilise internal, third-party, and credit bureau data to conduct in-depth analyses, identify gaps, mitigate losses, and support product growth.
  • Drive data modelling requirements for analytics and data engineers.
  • Policy

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to write and refine credit policies/rules and procedures.
  • Develop and own ongoing processes and reporting mechanisms for lending and liquidity products.
  • Product Development

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to validate and deploy rules and policies effectively.
  • Work closely with Strategy and Operations to implement the credit risk operating model and associated processes
  • Experience

  • A degree in e.g. Mathematics, Computer/Data Science, Information Management or Statistics is required
  • Knowledge of and experience in Data Analysis in the area of financial or credit risk - particularly unsecured lending products
  • SQL expertise is required
  • Advanced Python / PySpark programming skills are required. Experience in R or similar statistical programming languages / packages is an advantage. 
  • Experience with AWS S3, Databricks, and dbt is also an advantage
  • Experience in working with credit or market risk modeling (PD, LGD, EAD)
