What your days might look like

Reporting to the Senior Social Media Manager, we’re looking for a highly skilled and creative Video Production Manager / Social Media Content Creator to join our in-house creative agency. In this role, you will lead the production of high-quality video content that resonates with our audience and amplifies our brand across various social media platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of social media best practices, creativity, and technical skills in videography.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starting team player with diverse agency/studio experience across design, social media, creative content, motion graphics and video production – able to push our brand and bring our campaigns to life with video content across the Employment Hero house of brands. You are curious, culturally immersed, and eager to use your storytelling talents to shape our vision of changing employment for good.

The role is fully remote, however the ideal candidate will need to be Sydney based to have access to our office, video recording equipment and other Sydney based employees for content creation.

As Our Video Production Manager / Social Content Creator, you will

  • Be responsible for overseeing the entire video production process, from ideation to final delivery, ensuring that each project is executed to the highest standard and aligns with our strategic goals
  • Be capable of seeing the big picture while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in all projects.
  • Be highly proficiency in videography, including shooting, lighting, editing, and directing, with expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Have a deep understanding of social media best practices and trends, enabling quick and impactful creative output.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication abilities for crafting engaging narratives and posts; familiarity with project management tools is a plus.

What you will bring?

  • Minimum 4 years in video production and social media content creation, with proven success in growing social media channels and engagement.
  • Natural storyteller with a strong interest in video, motion design, and social trends, committed to elevating brand experiences through visual storytelling.
  • Proactive and flexible mindset, with a willingness to take ownership of projects and a problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into compelling creative solutions, supported by audience insights.
  • Motivated individual thriving in fast-paced environments, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong team player who can collaborate effectively across departments and organisational levels.

Bonus Points

  • Willingness to appear on camera and basic motion design skills are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) is a bonus.
