About the role
At Q-CTRL, design shapes how people experience quantum technology. We’re looking for a Product Designer to help us redefine how researchers, engineers, and developers interact with one of the most impactful technologies of our time.

You’ll join a collaborative and diverse design team, reporting to the Head of Design. In this role, you’ll shape experiences across our product ecosystem, from foundational design systems to complex user interfaces. We’re looking for a designer with strong craft, curiosity, and a desire to grow by exploring a wide range of design challenges.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design and deliver high-quality experiences, from early concepts to polished solutions
  • Partner with engineering, product, and research to define problems, explore solutions, and deliver impact
  • Conduct user research and testing to better understand our users and refine our products
  • Refine our design system to drive consistency and scalability
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative design culture by sharing feedback and learning with peers
  • Other duties within the Employee's skills and experience, or with reasonable training.
  • Ideally you'll have:

  • 4+ years of product design experience
  • A portfolio that shows strong UX, UI, and interaction design skills with a focus on quality and craft
  • Proven ability to deliver end-to-end, from early discovery and wireframes to high-fidelity execution
  • Demonstrated experience working with and contributing to a design system
  • The ability to bring clarity to ambiguous problems and turn them into actionable design direction
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills to present your work and align stakeholders
  • Curiosity and a growth mindset, eager to learn new tools, technologies, and ways of working
  • A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
