About the role:

Being part of the Tech Uplift team gives you the chance to shape the future of hipages' software architecture, which is crucial for the company's growth and success. As a Software Engineer, you'll have the responsibility to design, develop, and deliver high-quality web and mobile applications, ensuring they meet the needs of hipages' users and contribute to the company's overall objectives. How you will add value:

  • Raising the bar of what-good-looks-like within hipages Engineering
  • Design, development, and delivery of quality, maintainable backend, web applications
  • Creation of APIs which will be consumed both internally and externally
  • Involvement in data-driven product experimentation
  • Writing clean, scalable, testable code to support and enable the growth of the company
  • Participation in discussions of system architecture

About you:

  • 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience
  • Full stack background in two or more programming languages, including languages such as TypeScript, Javascript, or PHP
  • Understanding of SOLID design principles, AWS or cloud environments and using AWS/cloud services
  • Experience working in an agile team (Scrum or Kanban or similar)
  • Experience with a modern Relational database or NoSQL databases 
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) principles and practices
  • Understanding of DevOps practices such as  logging, monitoring, alerting, observability
  • Experience writing automated tests
  • Understanding of distributed systems
