As a Risk Engineer, you will provide a high level of property risk engineering support for SafetyCulture Care operations in Australia. With responsibility to own the end to end advisory process, you will identify key risks and exposures with the full range of property insurance policy coverages and develop reports and evaluations to both internal and external customers.

You will act as a trusted advisor to your customers, conducting virtual surveys and partnering with them to understand potential risks and guiding them through the evaluations process.
What will I be doing?
Undertake risk engineering activitiesConduct property risk evaluationsReview information provided by third parties Conduct virtual surveys and physical site inspections when requiredProvide general technical support to assist the underwriting teamReview risk engineering requests for support to ensure that the required scope of evaluation and response is understood and a response in provide accordinglyKeep up to date with current loss prevention, risk engineering best practices and market trendsWork in conjunction with others on special projects to improve process efficiency, develop new business opportunities or risk engineering productsProvide technical support in a specialised area of expertise as designated for the benefit of SafetyCulture Care and our insuredsKeep up to date with the latest technical developments across key industries and provide technical updates to the underwriting teamImplement SafetyCulture Risk Mitigation Tools with customers
What do I need?
Minimum 5 years experience in provision of risk management and consulting servicesKnowledge of property risks including WHS, hazardous chemicals, electrical and fire safetyStrong knowledge of Australian Legislation, and Australian International Codes of Practise and StandardsWillingness to not just tick boxes but to understand a customer’s business and how we as a business can best assist them to mitigate claims through practical, relevant and achievable risk improvement recommendationsStrong communication skills both in person and onlineCustomer first and consultative approachEffective time management skillsAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentRelevant qualification in engineering, risk management and/or WHSPrevious Risk Engineering experience in private practise Experience in WHS Consultancy and advise, dangerous goods, hazardous management, and asbestos material assessments would be desirable
