About the Role
We're looking for a dynamic Delivery Lead to support our Product teams in the Agile delivery of our Moodle Products, adopting and championing our ways of working. This role will coordinate the activities associated with our Moodle Heartbeat product planning and development process, with a focus on continuous improvement and cultural engagement. The Delivery Lead will coach, mentor, guide, and, when necessary, embed alongside Moodle Products team members to support them in the process and adapt it to meet their individual team needs. Ultimately, the Delivery Lead plays a key function in the long-term strategy of the Moodle Products function, helping our teams to deliver better products in a more efficient and value-accretive manner.
This is a remote role open to applicants across Australia. While fully remote, preference may be given to candidates based in or near Perth, where we have an office and opportunities for occasional in-person collaboration.
What You’ll Do
Most days in this role usually involve a mix of:
- Implementing the Moodle Heartbeat process with product teams, driving its adoption as a best practice.
- Guiding teams, ensuring they stay on track with techniques and refining approaches to meet process guidelines.
- Actively mentor and coach team members in Moodle's ways of working and key processes.
- Embedding with teams as a Scrum Master, arranging scrum ceremonies and facilitating Agile practices when necessary.
- Undertaking regular follow-ups with team members to ensure sprint plans are on track and goals are met.
- Liaising with stakeholders across various teams (including leading any stakeholder engagement sessions) to support the product planning and development process
- Hold stand-up meetings with cross-functional teams to review progress and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Improving processes to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of industry best practices.
- Use metrics to understand and manage delivery capacity and velocity across teams.
- Supporting teams in estimating and maintaining predictable delivery velocity for smooth product delivery.
- Facilitating high-level design and architecture reviews of solutions as needed.
- Facilitating the creation and maintenance of product roadmaps and releases.
Requirements
We’d love to meet you
Especially if you can tell us about your:
- Experience in Scrum, Kanban, and Agile frameworks, ideally in the context of product development and delivery
- Possesses experience in running projects of varying size and complexity.
- Experience as a Team Manager/Leader or Process Manager in a complex organization.
- Proven ability to motivate team members to accomplish goals.
- Ability to solve complex problems with consideration of business impact.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience engaging with and managing senior stakeholders across diverse business portfolios.
- Experience working with international teams and stakeholders located in other time zones.
