An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Showpo Design team as a Product Developer!
The Product Developer works within our in-house Design Team. This role will offer support within the Design Team, you will be exposed to every aspect of our design, techpacking and fitting process!
Day to day, you will:
Assisting Designer with tech packs and new sample developmentTech Packs - Adding key specifications, blocks and fabrics to tech packs/hand over docs in consultation with designer/product developerOverseeing the SKU creation and accurate style attribution in WFX by VAsUploading specs and completing/updating costing, BOM and colourway in WFXSending new development SKUs to suppliers inline with CPFits - typing fit notes, and updating PLM system after fitsEnsure WFX (PLM) is kept up to date and tidy by GTs/PD/DesignWeekly fabric/trims research and sourcing with offshore suppliersDocumenting the receipt of new fabrics and ongoing fabric price and composition inquiresGathering all fabrics for design and buy meetingsRe colouring prints and developing new artwork for designersPreparing print artwork files, sending to suppliers and commenting on strike offs inline with CPBuild relationships with suppliers and attend supplier monthly meetings with Design Room ManagerTrack/manage sample development deliveries to ensure that everything is on-time according to Critical Path using WFX/Periscope DashResponsible for negotiating cost prices to ensure we achieve budget margin % using fit notes & record in WFX, referring to supplier history Ensure your styles are all ready with cost prices/attributes for Design Room Manager to export the Line List from WFX for each buy. Export a pre-line list.
Who are we looking for?
Exceptional fabric knowledge and understanding the design requirements for each styleAble to work autonomously and also be team orientedStrong Skills in Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopKnowledge of Excel and Google SheetsFashion Qualification is required2-3 years’ experience in an administration role. Fashion industry desiredStrong computer literacyStrong organisational skills with high attention to detailStrong time management skills and ability to work in a fast past environmentAbility to coordinate multiple tasks, be flexible and prioritise workload Friendly, thoughtful, honest and hardworking
