We are looking for an experienced leader in the womenswear buying space, looking to take a step up in their career into the role of General Manager. Reporting into the Chief Commercial and Sustainability Officer, the GM of Womenswear will have full P&L responsibility and create a strategic plan with a clear roadmap and milestones to the Women's business delivering scale and operational efficiencies. This exciting role will build relationships internally and work cross functionally with a high level of influencing skills across all divisions, and most notably technology, marketing and also the Global Fashion Group international teams to form global and local strategic vendor relationships which will increase sales, profitability and take over market share.

  • Lead the creation of a long term strategic vision for the Womenswear business with key milestones which delivers THE ICONIC’S long term vision  
  • Drive shareholder return by developing and executing plans to deliver a constantly improving P&L for the Fashion business
  • Form global and local strategic vendor relationships which will leverage increased profits and marketing support through improved company partners
  • Increase market share through managing marketing investment and customer acquisition plans aligned to assortment and pricing strategies  
  • Work with Marketing to define a GTM approach which aligns with key fashion moments. 
  • Identify emerging risks or opportunities in the market reacting to develop and execute strategies for the Fashion business
  • In collaboration with the CCSO incorporate the Womenswear strategy into the total Iconic business strategy.
  • Drive the Iconics platform strategy to deliver operational efficiencies, improved cash flow and improved continuous profitability and working capital improvements.
  • Define both short and long term tech frameworks to produce high returns / ROI to enable successful implementation of the Fashion strategy
  • Define and improve current internal alignment for brand handwriting, identify cross category process improvements and lead change as required
  • Create a culture of high performance, accountability and creativity which enables successful delivery of the annual budget and long term strategy
  • Identify, develop and continually improve business processes to allow for greater organisational efficiencies and growth

What you will bring to this role… 

  • Proven Leadership ability to motivate, grow and enable high performance teams
  • Passionate and motivated leader, with experience in driving engagement and improving performance 
  • Previous experience in successfully running a P&L, in a multi branded Fashion retailer ideally with exposure to e-commerce
  • Experience in developing strategic plans, including commercials to back it up and performance results to demonstrate success/progress eg NMV for the portfolio they are accountable for (growth), accountable directly for PC1 directly with an added accountability for PC1-PC3 delivered in line with budgets to show understanding of the end to end value chain and impact of costs post sales
  • Ability to make fast and effective decisions, to reduced touch points and clear point of escalation
  • Ability to negotiate trading terms with brands through improved brand relationships, demonstrated by higher marketing contribution investment from brands
  • Ability to build and maintain strong aligned partnerships with key stakeholders 
  • Working knowledge of ensuring quantifiable efficiency gains, for eg $, productivity, resources
  • Focus on sustainability and experience in partnering with brands to incorporate targets for sustainable products/supply chain initiatives
