This newly created role is an opportunity to shape the payments strategy in a dynamic and fast-moving region, working at the intersection of technology, customer experience, and business growth.

We’re looking for someone who understands how payments drive business success—someone who can balance technical complexity with customer needs, market dynamics, and commercial outcomes. 

This role is 4 days in office, WFH Fridays  and can be based in either Sydney, NSW or Melbourne, ViC offices. 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify regional trends, opportunities, and challenges in the payments landscape.
  • Define and drive the APAC payments strategy, aligning with global priorities while tailoring solutions to regional market needs.
  • Develop a data-led product roadmap, balancing customer insights, business goals, and industry trends.
  • Lead product discovery—working with research, design, and engineering to build seamless and secure payment experiences.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends, payment technologies, and regulatory requirements across APAC.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations to ensure successful go-to-market execution.
  • Monitor key metrics, track feature performance, and continuously optimise to drive adoption and engagement.
  • Be the go-to expert for APAC payments—owning relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Solve problems at speed, ensuring reliability, compliance, and exceptional user experiences.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Deep knowledge of the payments ecosystem, including digital wallets, alternative payment methods, and regulations.
  • Experience in digital product management, ideally in fintech, payments, or e-commerce.
  • A track record of working in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with engineering, design, and research teams.
  • Strong analytical mindset—you can use data to make informed decisions, prioritise effectively, and measure success.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing across multiple teams and geographies.
  • Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
    A hands-on, problem-solving mindset—you’re not just defining strategy, you’re rolling up your sleeves to deliver it.
