About the job

Fresho is looking for a Sales Development Representative, reporting to our National Growth Manager in Melbourne, Australia with responsibility for creating opportunities and securing demo’s for the AU sales team. We are looking for a dynamic SDR who gets excited about growing businesses. 

Previous experience within the wholesale food industry or hospitality industry is preferable and connections within these networks within Australia would give you a distinct advantage in success in the role. As an SDR  you will understand a solution selling sales process- along with adopting a consultative approach and have a natural curiosity for the ways technology can solve key business problems.  

You will be able to attract, and qualify the right opportunities for businesses to generate value from the Fresho solution. You will operate autonomously as well as be part of a team, as a collaborative approach to success is crucial. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop knowledge about the wholesale food industry & hospitality industry and grow connections within these networks in Australia
  • Phone based lead generation to ensure a full pipeline of activity is consistently maintained to meet targets (KPI’s) 
  • Thoroughly qualify prospects and leads – working with marketing to nurture MQLS to SQLs and opportunities via a range of activities – online and in person, one to many and one to one, where appropriate
  • Ensure sales forecasts, lead and opportunity admin, reporting and performance metrics are kept up to date, primarily using Salesforce
  • Support the sales team to secure demo’s and sales through understanding of the target customer’s business, their drivers, organisation structure/key decision makers and influencers and the industry sector
  • Contribute to the sales plans and strategies to grow Fresho’s customer portfolio base across wholesale food suppliers and the hospitality industry with a particular focus in Australia
  • Work to clear KPI’s outlined from the Commercial team to ensure top funnel activity is being achieved 
  • Work to develop other parts of the Commercial division within Fresho (primarily to drive the opportunity for revenue growth) – which may include but is not limited to:

  • 1-2 year previous sales experience
  • High commercial acumen and curiosity about the business of our target market
  • Ability to influence and open doors over the phone
  • Excellent time management skillsSelf-motivated, self-managing and well organized

  • Good digital literacy / tech adaptation – eg. Salesforce, Fresho Backend, Trello & other tools
