Overview of Position
In this newly created role you will manage a complex Production Schedule that ensures priority shipments are delivered to customers on time and within target budget, allowing for component lead times, equipment and staff availability and product dependencies. Reporting initially to the COO, then to a Head of Operations, the role will work closely with the Head of Production and Head of Procurement and our Business Assurance Advisor. The role will work cross functionally with the Order Management team.

Develop and manage a realistic, achievable Production ScheduleManage and optimise equipment & technician utilisationUnderstand business short and long term priorities and align production schedule to optimise for theseSchedule Equipment Maintenance and Calibration, minimising schedule disruptionIdentify potential bottlenecks and resolve or escalatePartner with Purchasing to communicate with suppliers and coordinate shipment timelinesCommunicate delivery dates with Order Management teamsManage inventory levels to meet production requirementsUnderstand production dependenciesProvide accurate, timely inputs to Future Capacity PlanningAssess supply chain capacity and provide inputs to future production growth modellingForecast short and medium term component requirements and lead times.Provide valuable analytics and reporting to business partnersReport production deliverables, including risks and mitigation plansReport performance against targetsAssess and report gaps against target, including root causeAlign with Purchasing and Order Management teams to resolve schedule gapsCoordinate with Production Engineering teams to minimise downtime and optimise outputs.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Bachelors degree in a technical field, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering degree is an advantage3+ years in similar electronics Production Planning roleExperience enabling cross functional collaborationStrong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong communicator with ability to cut through complexityExperience in Production planning methodology, bottleneck identification, critical path analysisProficient in production planning software and tools, SalesForce knowledge is a bonusResilient personality with high attention to detailComfortable with frequent change and ambiguity
