About the Role
As a Senior RFP Writer and Content Manager, you'll be responsible for developing high-quality, compelling bid and tender documents that communicate the value of Compass’ solutions to prospective clients from initial enquiry to project handover.
This includes:
- Coordinating the bid development process from kick-off meeting to submission, ensuring high quality responses through all stages of the bid process.
- Executing the planning, writing, stakeholder review and submission of responses to bids, tenders, proposals and presentations within given timeframes.
- Collaborating with Leadership, Product, Marketing, Sales, and other relevant stakeholders to understand response requirements, gather accurate and relevant information and answer queries around content for submission of RFTs/RFIs etc.
- Being a subject matter expert on Compass’ key features, technical specifications, and benefits of our products and services.
- Supporting the Senior Leadership Team with administrative duties related to bidding, estimating, and project kick-off.
- Prioritising competing deadlines and manage multiple bid projects simultaneously.
- Managing and maintaining our bid collateral library, including standard responses and template materials, which is used as a repository to supplement the development of future submissions.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, and best practices in bid writing and procurement for education technology.
- Ensuring that all bids are compliant with statutory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
- Conducting quality reviews and proofread bid responses to ensure accuracy, consistency, and a professional presentation.
- Implementing feedback from unsuccessful bids to continuously improve bid quality and outcomes, providing input into developing strategies that will improve the company's win ratio.
Requirements
About You
You’re detail-oriented and energised by crafting persuasive content that drives real-world impact.
You may be currently working in bid writing, proposal development or content roles, ideally within a high-growth SaaS company and you’re now ready for greater ownership and the opportunity to shape winning submissions that make a tangible difference for schools.
You’ll bring:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in bid, tender, or proposal writing, ideally within an education technology, SaaS, or technology-driven environment.
- Superior written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to blend technical, persuasive, and creative writing techniques as needed.
- Knowledge of procurement processes in Australia (highly desirable).
- Experience with project management processes and coordinating cross-functional teams.
- The ability to work under tight deadlines and respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities to meet submission timelines.
- Excellent collaboration skills, able to manage multiple competing projects and meet deadlines.
- A motivated, self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- A true passion about education technology and improving outcomes for schools, teachers, and students.
