Who we are looking for
We’re looking for a commercially sharp, strategic finance leader to partner with our COO and drive Cadmus through its next phase of growth. You’ll lead our finance function, own the fundraising process end-to-end, and represent Cadmus with confidence at the board and investor level. With deep experience in scaling tech startups, raising capital, and shaping commercial strategy, you’ll be both a big-picture thinker and a hands-on operator — someone who can build robust financial models, drive investor conversations, and help position Cadmus for global expansion and long-term success.
The Role
- Capital Strategy & Fundraising: Take ownership of capital planning and fundraising activity, leading investor engagement and building compelling financial narratives that support Cadmus’ growth story.
- Financial Modelling & Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models that inform key decisions — from pricing to scenario planning — and ensure the business is set up for scalable, sustainable growth.
- Investor & Board Engagement: Be the go-to finance lead at the board table. Deliver clear, data-driven insights that guide strategic decisions, and build trust with current and future investors.
- Commercial Strategy & Leadership: Shape and drive the commercial strategy of the business, working closely with the CEO, COO and leadership team to align financial plans with product, sales, and market expansion goals.
- Finance Function Build-Out: Design and scale a high-performing finance function, including systems, processes, and reporting frameworks that support a growing global business.
- Pricing Strategy: Lead a review and refinement of Cadmus’ pricing model to ensure it’s optimised for growth, competitiveness, and long-term profitability.
- Strategic Growth & Optimisation: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and unlock value across the business — turning insight into action to fuel the next phase of scale.
What success looks like
By the first 90 days, you have quickly come up to speed on Cadmus’ business model, financials, and growth strategy. The company’s accounting and reporting foundations are solid, with clear budgets, forecasts, and a detailed financial model covering the next 2–3 years. You’ve mapped out the capital strategy and are leading preparations for our next raise — aligned with our vision and timing.
In 12 months, you’ve successfully led a capital raise — bringing in the right investors at the right valuation to fuel our next stage of growth. You’re a trusted advisor to the CEO and COO and a key partner in managing investor and board relationships. Cadmus is operating with financial clarity, commercial focus, and a clear path toward long-term value creation, thanks to the strategic foundation you’ve built.
The team
You will be reporting to Brigitte Elliott, the Founding Executive Director of Cadmus. With a strong background in scaling fast-growth organisations, she brings deep expertise in improving strategic alignment and operational efficiency, as well as navigating early-stage ventures through ideation, product-market fit, and commercialisation.
