Overview:
The Engineering Team Lead at Plenti leads and manages one of the engineering teams, balancing project leadership with hands-on development contributions. This role focuses on driving innovation within the team, enhancing the engineering tech stack, and mentoring team members to foster a high-performance environment. The ideal candidate will promote team performance and technical excellence while cultivating collaboration and empowerment among team members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Working with product manager to assess upcoming work
◦ Guide on solutions
◦ Breakdown work from high level requirements into a deliverable backlog
◦ Collaborate with principal engineers/staff engineers/software architects where necessary to get guidance on technical implementation
• Guide the developers in the team to work on the backlog, and assign work where necessary
• Make final decision on what tasks developers work on
• Ensure technical tasks are prioritised appropriately
• Ensure incidents are dealt with appropriately, you will be directly assigned incidents for you to delegate
• Ensure product quality does not decline
• Mentor and empower team members to nurture them into high performing team members
• Contribute to improving engineering processes
Key Qualifications:
• Extensive expertise in .NET technologies with a strong design and hands-on implementation emphasis (preferably, 8+ years working in software development)
• Experience in managing engineering team and/or leading projects
• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and microservices.
• Strong understanding of domain-driven design principles and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to establish collaboratively and enforce high coding standards and best practices.
• Test-driven approach to software development

The Engineering Team Lead reports to Engineering Manager.
