Acude Foundation
Creating Perspectives: Spanish and cultural immersion projects boosting connection and intercultural understandingAcude Foundation
Acude is a new social enterprise that addresses social isolation and intercultural understanding, by running vibrant and joyful cultural immersion projects that connect children and young people with disadvantaged communities, locally and abroad. In Spanish, Acude means to help (from Latin ac-cudere: ‘to forge closeness’), and spelled backwards ‘educa’ means to educate. Our programs teach empathetic and collaborative leadership skills, as well as Spanish language skills – the second most spoken language in the world – through music, dance and other cultural expressions. The program caters for beginners to advanced Spanish language levels. The programs are delivered through after-school classes, school holiday programs and events.
