Bionic Hand

Innovating upper limb prosthetics
Bionic Hand
Operating

The loss of a limb severely affects one’s independence, by limiting the performance of activities of daily living. Although artificial limbs have been developed to accommodate those with limb loss, current hand prostheses are rarely used due to their heavy weight, limited functionality, uncomfortable fitting, and complicated control interface. We have developed an ultra-light, comfortable and multi-functional hand prosthesis with an easy-to-use interface for intuitive control of the hand. Our prosthesis improves the ability for independent living and overall quality of life for people with upper limb loss.
