Cape Bionics

The most advanced compression on or off the planet
Cape Bionics
Operating

Cape brings the world’s most advanced compression technology from the aerospace and medical industries to professional sports. Eighteen years of bioengineering development at RMIT, UCSD, MIT, ESA and NASA, and successful deployments to the Space Station, have shown that compression works but it must be custom-fitted with accurate pressure regimes for consistent and genuine benefit. Cape produces different sleeves, individually sized from athlete scans, to impose a unique and optimum pressure for performance, recovery or travel benefit. Proprietary compression regimes and wearing protocols have been developed in conjunction with leading Sports Scientists. Our products are accredited as custom-made medical devices, and are contracted alongside off-the-shelf compression sports apparel. Player needs and shape will evolve over the course of a year - we therefore scan and issue garments as part of a quarterly service to ensure the ideal solution is maintained. After consultation with teams to understand garment demands, players are professionally 3D scanned on site. Every garment is individually crafted from the scan using our patented technology, and then tailor-made by hand in Melbourne, Australia, in a medical facility from premium Italian sports fabrics.
