We aim to address current limitations in the medical research field by designing and producing a bioreactor system, essentially a 3D, lab-based device that will closely simulate the physiology and environment of the human body. Designing this system requires close collaboration between engineers and biologists, to develop the complex environmental parameters and the regular flow of nutrients, while keeping the whole system sterile - which is, incredibly, what our body does. Our mission will therefore drastically improve medical research efforts and reduce animal testing.
