Marketplacer was established in 2012 by Melbourne digital entrepreneurs and childhood friends, Jason Wyatt and Sam Salter. Marketplacer is the evolution of Jason and Sam’s first business, Bike Exchange, which they established in 2007 and which has grown into a global business success story, existing in nine countries and attracting attracts millions of sellers and buyers for everything bike related. In 2012, BikeExchange was awarded the Telstra Business of the Year, and in 2013 Jason and Sam were named EY Entrepreneurs of the Year. Following the incredible success of BikeExchange, the business has expanded significantly in recent years, licensing their software and sharing their marketplace knowledge and success into many new and exciting arenas: from children’s products (TiniTrader), outdoor gear (Outdoria), Homewears and Interior Solutions (House of Home) through to premium ticketing experiences (Tixstar), holiday bookings (Go See Australia) and party and event planning (LENZO). The next evolution of the Marketplacer business is here with the launch of a ‘plug & play’ SaaS solution, enabling businesses to create their own successful marketplaces, supported by 10 years of experience and a strong community of like-minded individuals. Securing key clients such as Myer, Jayco, Bob Jane T-Marts and Cartridge World, Marketplacer now powers over 50 marketplaces, in 11 countries and has over 10,000 connected businesses across the globe
