NomadVR is a Sydney-based startup founded by Jarrah Cohen and Trent Billington that provides Virtual Reality (VR) experiences for residents in aged care facilities. For the first time the facilities have had the opportunity to take residents with limited mobility on “Virtual Excursions,” transporting them to stimulating and beautiful environments such as a coral reef or to the familiar and sentimental such as the street they grew up on. NomadVR enables aged care residents to be immersed in the virtual environment, unconstrained by physical limitations, reducing both risk and demand on nursing staff.
