Safeguarding Your LegacyWillBits
The death of a family member is a traumatic time in anyone’s life. Just when you need to be grieving and taking care of yourself, you may have to deal with a beneficiary who decides that they will contest the will, adding to the trauma you are already suffering. This happened to us after the death of an elderly family member in May 2017. This birthed the idea of a truly “living will” that would do away with the need for a paper document, and would capture the proofs needed to ensure all legal requirements are met. Welcome, Willbits, an immutable, encrypted record of your final wishes on death or if you can no longer look after yourself that can become a self executing resolution of your estate or a tool to allow the person appointed as your power of attorney to seamlessly prove their authority to act on your behalf.
