Product Manager - Core & Seniors Experience at Spacetalk
Information Technology and Services, Product Management, Full-time, Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaDescription
Spacetalk is a proudly Australian ASX-listed technology company (ASX: SPA) with over 20 years of experience pioneering family and community safety solutions. We specialise in wearable technology, software subscriptions, and mobile services designed to keep families connected and protected at every stage of life—from kids exploring independence to seniors thriving with confidence.
Our ecosystem includes purpose-built kids' smartwatches (e.g., Adventurer series with GPS tracking, calling, texting, video, school mode, emergency SOS), the Spacetalk app for parental control and monitoring, and seniors-focused wearables like the Spacetalk Life smartwatch (with fall detection, 24/7 monitoring, location tracking, and MPERS accreditation). Our mission is to create a unique safety-first ecosystem that empowers people to stay connected and protected throughout life’s journey, embracing the chaos with peace of mind.
About The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Product Manager to support the optimisation of our core user experiences in the near term, while contributing to the strategic development and delivery of our emerging Predictive Health Platform (PHP) for senior safety. This role is pivotal in our lean scale-up phase, focusing on execution, data-informed iteration, and cross-functional collaboration to drive subscription growth, retention, and safe innovation.
In Phase 1 (~3-6 months), you'll support end-to-end delivery of core app, platform, and device features post our Spacetalk 2.0 launch and AWS re-platform. In Phase 2, you'll shift toward assisting with PHP pilots, regulatory pathways, and scalable seniors safety features—helping position Spacetalk as a leader in age-inclusive safety tech.
This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative, execution-focused PM who thrives in ambiguity, values data-driven decisions, and is excited about hardware-software integration and health/safety impact.
Key Accountabilities
- Support end-to-end feature lifecycle for core journeys (app/platform/devices): ideation, requirements definition, delivery, launch, and post-launch iteration to reduce friction and boost engagement/retention.
- Contribute to the rollout and optimisation of new kids' devices, including software/hardware aspects under guidance.
- Use analytics (funnels, adoption, errors) to inform priorities, define success metrics, investigate anomalies, and drive data-backed improvements (e.g., engagement uplift, churn reduction).
- Assist in Phase 2 Predictive Health Platform initiatives: support pilot scoping with aged-care partners, outcome validation (clinical/safety/operational), regulatory workflows (e.g., TGA, GDPR), and translation of learnings into scalable features.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Customer Support, Marketing, Ops, Legal, and external partners to align on user needs, identify risks, and execute sprints/GTM activities.
- Break down ambiguity into clear stories, acceptance criteria, and pragmatic trade-offs; document system rules, APIs, data flows, and edge cases.
- Foster user-centric decisions that enhance safety, scalability, and continuous improvement across the Product team.
Requirements
About You
You are a pragmatic, collaborative Product Manager with strong execution skills and a passion for safety-focused tech. You excel in hands-on delivery in fast-moving environments, enjoy turning data into actionable insights, and are eager to grow into strategic ownership (e.g., seniors/health-tech innovations).
We welcome candidates with emerging PM experience who demonstrate quick learning, cross-functional influence, and a user-first mindset—ideal for our scale-up stage.

- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with Engineering, Design, Data, CS, and external stakeholders.
- User-centric mindset with focus on safety, engagement, and retention metrics.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and a lean team setting with bias for action and ownership.
Desirable
- Experience with hardware-software integrated products (e.g., wearables, IoT devices).
- Exposure to regulatory/compliance processes (e.g., privacy, health tech standards like GDPR, TGA).
- Background in pilots, experimentation, or 0-1 product development (A/B testing, outcome validation).
- Familiarity with seniors/aged-care or health-tech domains.
- Interest in AI-enabled features or predictive safety innovations.
Benefits
- Competitive salary package commensurate with experience.
- Flexible hybrid working in Sydney.
- Opportunity to shape core experiences and emerging seniors safety innovations in a high-growth ASX-listed company.
- Professional development through exposure to hardware-software integration, global expansion, regulatory pathways, and strategic health-tech initiatives.
