Provide Facility support and assistance to ensure the efficient operation of busy and modern laboratories and office spaces involved in conducting assays for research, preclinical and clinical studies in an accredited environment. Contribute to a high-quality team at 360biolabs complying with relevant standards, regulatory guidelines and SOPs.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • The key responsibility areas (KRAs) are the major outputs for which the position is responsible and are not a comprehensive statement of the position activities
  • Ensure the safe and efficient conduct of facility activities
  • Ensure compliance to relevant internal processes and statutory requirements
  • Oversee contractor certifications, assist with inductions and maintain the contractor/visitor register
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address maintenance incidents while developing operational systems for effective facility maintenance
  • Assist with incident investigations
  • Maintain high levels of communication with colleagues
  • Ensure productive relationships with service providers and other stakeholders
  • Adhere to ISO/IEC 17025, OECD Principles of GLP, GCLP/GCP Principles, 360biolabs’ Quality Management System, and other requirements as per NATA Accreditation and regulatory guidelines
  • Maintain the facilities in an efficient and well-organised manner
  • Order and maintain consumable supplies for the facilities
  • Maintain and update registers relating to contractor and asset service and maintenance
  • Manage software relating to visitors, contractors and employees
  • Assist with facility inspections and assessments
  • Coordinate Facility and OHS training
  • Coordinate waste collection and Liquid Nitrogen transport
  • Assist with the Temperature Monitoring response system and be available for after-hours emergency response
  • Review policies, SOPs, systems and procedures to assure the quality and integrity of service offerings at 360biolabs
  • Maintain records to levels consistent with relevant standards and industry expectations
  • Attend meetings and training associated with the work of 360biolabs
  • Key Selection Criteria

  • Trade and/or scientific facility management experience (Essential)
  • Experience / Knowledge / Attributes

  • Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably in an accredited facility following laboratory regulations and standards (Essential)
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills (Essential)
  • Ability to work as part of a team Essential
  • Good communication skills and enthusiasm to learn (Essential)
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to troubleshoot problems and improve processes (Essential)
  • Experience with use of Microsoft Suite and associated automation tools (Desirable)
  • High motivation and enthusiasm for biomedical research (Desirable)
