What will you be responsible for?
As a Financial Hardship Specialist at Plenti, you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers experiencing financial challenges. You will manage hardship requests with care, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to understanding and addressing individual circumstances. This role requires meaningful customer engagement, compliance with regulatory standards, and the ability to provide tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities
•Receive, review, and respond to financial hardship applications, ensuring all necessary supporting documentation is assessed
•Identify appropriate solutions to assist customers in restoring their loans to good standing, documenting decisions and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records
•Liaise with external collections agencies, legal representatives, third parties and other stakeholders as required
•Assessing and responding to proposed debt agreements and bankruptcy petitions
•Compliance with all regulatory obligations including the NCCP Act, Privacy Act, ASIC Regulatory Guides and AML/KYC requirements
•Collaborate with internal teams to improve hardship processes and enhance service quality
• Inbound and outbound customer contact will be required
What type of background will make you successful?
•2+ years’ experience and demonstrated high performance in an unsecured or secured hardship role
•In depth knowledge of hardship regulations, including NCCP, ASIC/ACCC collections guidelines and Privacy Act
•Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and resolve complex situations with professionalism and empathy
•Proven ability to meet performance targets and deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment
•Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
•The ability to work autonomously, think on your feet and work in an evolving work environment dealing with complex enquiries
