About the role:
Lead hipages’ acquisition across Tradie and Consumer marketplaces, driving growth through paid, organic, and AI-powered strategies. Own three cross-functional teams (Marketplace Growth, Core Acquisition and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO)) and deliver scalable, efficient, and future-ready user acquisition through innovation, data-led optimisation and continuous experimentation.
How you will add value:
- End-to-End Acquisition Ownership: Full accountability for all marketing, product and AI-driven activities that acquire new tradies and consumers efficiently.
- Functional Team Leadership: Lead core teams across SEO, SEM, Growth Product Management, Acquisition Analytics and Generative Engine Optimisation.
- Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO):
- Explore and lead new acquisition opportunities across AI-powered search, LLM platforms, and AI-native content engines.
- Build discoverability strategies for emerging AI ecosystems (e.g. ChatGPT plugins, Gemini search, AI co-pilots, vertical-specific AI tools).
- Pilot, measure and scale AI-native growth tactics in collaboration with SEO, Product and Brand teams.
- Marketplace Growth Squad Leadership: Drive fast-paced experimentation and innovation within agile growth squads aligned to quarterly OKRs.
- Channel Diversification: Extend acquisition efforts beyond SEM and SEO into emerging paid and organic channels such as paid social, affiliate marketing, partnerships, referrals and AI-driven ecosystems.
- Data-Led Decision Making: Build and maintain an integrated acquisition data stack across Salesforce, GA, Zuora, advertising platforms and generative engines.
- Forecasting and Budget Management: Own acquisition forecasting, budgeting, target setting and reporting.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Sales, Operations, CX and Brand to optimise end-to-end user journeys and acquisition funnels.
About you:
- 8+ years in acquisition, growth marketing or product-led growth roles within digital businesses (SaaS, marketplaces or B2B2C strongly preferred).
- Proven leadership experience across cross-functional squads and specialist acquisition functions.
- Deep understanding of both traditional acquisition channels (SEO, SEM, CRO, PLG) and emerging AI/generative technologies.
- Highly analytical and experimental, with a strong bias for data-led growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, Product or a related field.
- Experience launching AI-driven or LLM-optimised acquisition initiatives is highly desirable.
