This role is crucial for supporting our significant growth and ensuring an exceptional employee experience across the SafetyCulture Group. As a People Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in managing and improving our people processes to support the lifecycle of our employees. You will spend approximately 70% of your time on core operational duties, such as managing our HR service desk and handling cyclical HR processes. The remaining 30% will be dedicated to project work aimed at evolving and scaling our employee experience.

How you will spend your time:

  • HR Service Desk Management: Act as the first line of support for all HR-related queries, including triaging, resolving, or escalating tickets as necessary.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Ensure a seamless experience during crucial touchpoints such as onboarding, offboarding, and promotions. This includes preparing relevant paperwork and making necessary system updates.
  • Data Management: Maintain and conduct regular audits of employee data in our HR Information System (HRIS) to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong partnerships with key internal stakeholders (Talent Acquisition, People Partners, IT, Finance, Legal, etc.) to enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Continuous Improvement: Bring a continuous improvement mindset to refine and evolve existing people processes and policies.
  • Project Participation: Engage in strategic projects that aim to scale and enhance the employee experience as we grow.
  • About you:

  • At least 2 years in a People Operations or similar role, with an understanding of HR practices.
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service and manage sensitive employee touch points effectively.
  • Capable of working with precision and pace in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and equipped with a mindset geared toward continuous improvement.
