The Role
This is an exciting newly created role leading both our amazing Design & Buying teams at an exciting time for us!
This role will play a critical part in shaping our product direction, ensuring that Showpo continues to deliver trend and commercially driven, high-quality collections that resonate with our customers. As a key decision-maker, you’ll manage the product lifecycle from concept to delivery, aligning with our brand identity while meeting business goals.
Day to day, you will
Lead, coach and mentor an incredible team who have a real thirst to learn! Provide clear guidance on priorities, workflows, and timelines, ensuring team alignment with company goalsDrive the creative vision for product collections, ensuring alignment with Showpo’s brand identity and customer profileOversee the end-to-end product development process, from initial concepts to final production.Collaborate with the Merchandise Planning team to align designs and buying decisions with sales forecasts and inventory targetsEnsure a cohesive approach to design and buying, maintaining a balanced mix of trend-driven (in collaboration with our Trend Forecaster) and evergreen stylesConduct regular reviews of product performance, identifying opportunities to improve and innovatePartner with Marketing and eCommerce teams to ensure product launches are supported with compelling campaigns.Work closely with the Head of Brand and other stakeholders to align product strategy with broader business objectivesApprove final designs and product selections to ensure quality, market relevance, and profitability
Who are we looking for?
Experience in fashion design, buying, or similar leadership role, with a strong understanding of both creative and commercial processes.Demonstrated success in managing and mentoring teams in a fast-paced environment.Excellent knowledge and passion for the fashion industry, trends, and market dynamics, including customer insights.Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency in assortment planning, product lifecycle management, and vendor relationsIdeally you will have worked within a similar organisation
