As the Senior Category Buyer - Women's Designer, you’ll help shape strategy, support budget planning, and drive sales growth in line with THE ICONIC’s commercial vision.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive Strategy: Work with our Planning team to develop and execute winning category strategies across wholesale and platform.
- Spot Trends: Analyse sales data and market trends to keep our product offering fresh, exciting, and competitive.
- Own the Numbers: Manage budgets, vendor contracts, and financial targets like a pro.
- Build Relationships: Nurture long-term partnerships with key suppliers and negotiate for the best deals.
- Lead & Inspire: Mentor assistant buyers and help develop the next generation of buying talent.
- Collaborate: Work cross-functionally with Product, Creative, Marketing, and Sustainability teams to deliver seamless customer experiences and achieve shared goals.
What You’ll Own:
- Budget allocation for product procurement.
- Selection and onboarding of new brands.
- Key financial terms for vendor contracts.
- Demand/inventory management to hit targets.
- Recruitment and development of your team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 5+ years in buying, with a proven track record of driving sales and growth in your category
- Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. You’re a whiz with numbers and love making data-driven decisions.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in Jira, Excel, BI tools, and familiar with API integrations, platform software and AI tools.
- Team Player: You love collaborating, mentoring, and making things happen together.
