About the Role

The Senior DevOps Engineer will lead and implement automation initiatives across Lumary's technology stack, with a focus on streamlining development operations, enhancing build and release processes, and improving system reliability. This role is instrumental in transforming and integrating cloud-based systems, maintaining Salesforce environments, and evolving our in-house Python-based automation tools. The position combines DevOps expertise with Salesforce platform knowledge to create efficient, scalable automation solutions that support product delivery and operational excellence.

- Design and implement automation solutions for build, deployment, and operational processes using modern DevOps practices and tools
- Lead the development and enhancement of our in-house Python-based automation tools for Salesforce environment management
- Architect and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS) ensuring scalability, security, and operational efficiency
- Develop and implement monitoring solutions to ensure system health and performance
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for both Salesforce and off-platform solutions
- Perform complex problem resolution and root cause analysis to drive system improvements
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and resolve technical challenges
- Maintain and optimise Salesforce environment management processes
- Lead initiatives to improve system reliability, security, and operational efficiency
- Lead package management lifecycle, including building, deploying, and optimising Lumary solutions for customer environments
- Implement and maintain efficient Salesforce sandbox management strategies across internal and customer environments

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar roles
  • Prior experience with Salesforce CLI/DX and deployment tools
  • Salesforce administration and development experience
  • Strong API integration experience, particularly with REST and GraphQL
  • Experience with iPaaS platforms (e.g. Workato, Jitterbit, MuleSoft, Boomi)
  • Experience with advanced observability tools (e.g. Datadog, New Relic)
  • Experience with GitOps practices and tools
  • Knowledge of chaos engineering principles and tools
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and message queuing systems
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation) 
  • Strong experience with Python development and automation scripting
  • Proficiency in one or more additional languages: Java, Apex, Ruby, Net Core, JavaScript
  • Extensive public cloud experience, particularly with AWS
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and containers
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools and practices (e.g. GitHub Actions, Circle CI)
  • Experience with container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)
