🚀 About Lived
Our mission Lived is on a mission to radically change the way people access and experience support for overcoming some of life’s toughest challenges—starting with alcohol.
Our vision We believe the future of health support is peer-led and clinically-backed, because there can be no greater teacher than lived experience. That’s why all of Lived’s products are guided by people who have overcome their own challenges in life, figured out what works, and share that wisdom through Lived—in a way that others can truly relate to and learn from.
What is Lived? Lived is an app for anyone wanting to make changes with alcohol (big or small). Lived connects you with the wisdom and advice of those who have navigated through their own challenges with alcohol, discovered what works, and reached where you want to be. Audio guides take less than 10 minutes a day, in your own space at your own pace. No labels. No judgement. No pressure. Just real answers from people who have been there.

🙌 Lived’s name
🧱We're searching for our Frank Gehry Product architect...is that you?
There have been rare, but spectacular moments in recent history, where the power of art and science have seamlessly come together, and fundamentally changed the human experience. Like when architect Frank Gehry, challenged the limits of both construction and our perceptions of what buildings can be, to create public spaces beyond our wildest imaginations. Or when designer Jony Ive, challenged the concept of the ‘personal computer’ and ended up revolutionising personal technology forever.
And maybe, with a bit of time—you, by challenging healthcare as we know it today, and taking peer-led support to new heights...and saving countless lives in the process.
👷About the role
We don’t just need a great creative thinker or a master engineer—we need an architect. Someone who can not only set an extraordinary vision and challenge what’s possible, but can plan, design and lead the construction. That’s why we’re looking for our Gehry.
We need a Product executor who is experienced in building something spectacular from the ground up 🏗. You know how to not only build the big picture vision but understand the incremental steps that must be taken to get there. But more than anything, you are obsessed with the user: how will they interact with the space; how will they be made to feel in the space; and how can you keep knocking done walls/barriers and building new things that constantly improve their life.
Just like Frank, you'll have an exceptional team around you to help bring your masterpiece to life. Scientists who can help you to understand who you're building for and make your concepts stronger; a team of engineers who can build your vision and make your designs stronger; and a leadership team that will support you in every way possible to make your vision, impact and leadership skills stronger too.
We spent 2022 building, learning, and listening to our members and creators. We’ve crafted our Product vision and roadmap for 2023 and have the tools, team, and direction, we know exactly who we're building for—now we just need our world-class architect to help us deliver it with velocity and care.
A glance into our product initiatives in 2023….
We have new content formats coming (which will allow our creators more freedom to create and earn!); a new Guide Portal, which will creators to self-serve, and upload their content, anywhere, any time; Lived Guide Community is about to grow in a BIG way; Members will get “matched” with peers they relate to the most, leveling up our personalization; our member community is becoming more niche with special interest groups; AND, we are launching our initial coaching offering, allowing our members to book chat sessions with our guides to get more private advice and support.
📝 Key responsibilities of our Gehry Senior PM:
Product strategy and execution
- Be comfortable (and obsessed) with not owning ideas, but rather facilitating the team to the best outcome.
- Be driven and obsessed with hypothesis-driven thinking, These should identify underlying user problems, not symptoms.
- Establish best practice research and data analysis processes to inform product direction (including user and pricing research, usability studies, and data-driven experiments) AND, when data does not exist, use your product principles to move forward to prove your hypothesis and assumption, quickly.
- Take the product vision and turn it into a roadmap, to drive our goals and deliver a world-class product (and one that will be changing lives at that 🙌)
- Immerse yourself fully into the world of our members and our creators. Understand user pain points, user needs and translate these into actionable insights for the broader team 👨👩👧👦
- Constantly review Lived’s product principles to create alignment and scale a highly productive product culture 🎓
- Support driving end-to-end feature development, from launch through to maintenance and monitoring 🌱
- Help define and measure key product metrics to track and analyze product performance against business goals 📈
- Work proactively to define longer-term initiatives in line with the overall product vision and business objectives. Maintain discovery backlog of possible innovations 🌌
- Act as Lived’s Product spokesperson, who can effectively communicate, pitch and sell our product vision to our team and community.
- Execute with a cross-functional product team (including engineers, designers and leaders), creating plans and processes that deliver incredible results 💪
- Establish the priorities for the product and engineering teams to build and ship products that serve the needs of our users and deliver growth to the business 📦
- Identify opportunities for internal and external team growth in line with Lived’s business objectives 🧠
🤸 What skills does Frank Gehry you have?
- You are a natural executor who thrives on building and championing high-performing products and teams, and you are never afraid to roll up your sleeves and get into the detail.
- You can distill complex problems into humanised solutions Addiction is a highly complex health issue. It is nuanced and personal, and it requires an appreciation and understanding of the human experience as key driver of product vision.
- You are a product savant with strong intuition on concepts that drive member and business goals whilst also being realistic to execute given limited resources (not all decisions can be data-led, when starting from scratch).
- You are a creative collaborator who consistently unites internal and external stakeholders on all stages of product development to assess value, usability and feasibility
- You are proactive in bringing the whole Lived team along the journey of product vision & development
- You are organised and create clear user stories for new features or updates to existing features and owning knowledge of the product front-to-back to assist product managers in making clear decisions when required
- You are adaptable and thrive in ambiguity and an environment of cohesive but rapid change. You think on your feet and can quickly make well-reasoned decisions with limited data
- You are an engaging storyteller who knows how to distill complex ideas into clear concepts that gets everyone excited and onboard with the product vision
- You move fast, but you do not rush or leave things half-baked
🏆 What's in it for you
We believe people do their best work when they are healthy and happy.

🤝 People are the priority. Period.
Lived is built by and for real people. From the goals we set to the way we hire; the products we build, to the way we speak—people are always the priority. We hire extraordinary humans and look way beyond just their capabilities. Our team don't miss doctor's appointments or our friend's birthdays—because we're people first and Lived team members second. We're building products to drive better human connection and inclusion. We support 'people living with addiction' and never 'addicts'. We thrive on this connection to ourselves, our peers, our community and our cause.
-
💎 Clear is kind
We are highly transparent and embrace vulnerability—and see the extraordinary power in both of those things. We value inclusivity, direct communication, candid feedback and high respect for one another. Our circle of trust enables us to work better, smarter and faster.
-
🙌 Lead with pride
Shame and stigma have no place in addiction—or at Lived. We couldn't be more proud of the people and community we support, and we sing it loud and proud. Our bold mission is matched by our determination. We stick to our word and will always do what’s right over what’s easy. We don’t shy away from tough conversations, but we always consider who may be listening.
-
👂 Listen carefully
We never have all of the answers. We never assume. We seek to understand. The conversation around addiction and how we best support people will be constantly evolving—and we’ll always be listening, and pushing ourselves to learn and grow.
The process we run (so we BOTH know what good looks like)
