The Role

Reporting to the Head of Pricing and Portfolio, the Pricing Analyst will assist in building out the pricing and portfolio management function for SafetyCulture Care in collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. We focus on risk solutions and insurance offerings for the SafetyCulture customer base and in addition through its focus on intermediated distribution.  This is an exciting role to build and run a brand new pricing and portfolio management function that will evolve with the fast pace growth aspiration of SafetyCulture Care.

What You'll be Doing

  • Support the business with initiatives and insights to improve both top and bottom line performance of the insurance products
  • Assist with the establishment and maintenance of the pricing and portfolio management infrastructures, starting with the portfolio datasets in collaboration with the data and analytics team
  • Conduct pricing and portfolio reviews analysis for all key insurance products and portfolios that contribute towards practical recommendations
  • Assist underwriters and key stakeholders with pricing and portfolio enquiries
  • Work collaboratively with the Product, Underwriting and System Teams to implement pricing and portfolio changes. Ensure pricing governance processes are followed with sufficient testing and documentation
  • Support technical pricing and portfolio projects and comfortable engaging stakeholders to get consensus/inputs/decisions where relevant to achieve practical and timely continuous improvements
  • Be prepared to grow with this young team and business, roll up your sleeves and be a team player in supporting the business across various functions utilising your technical expertise and can do attitude
  • What You'll Need

  • Preference for general insurance commercial lines pricing experience in a similar role
  • Comfortable handling large volume of data with good expertise in SQL/ETL tools
  • Ability to build statistical and financial models from scratch to solve business problemsExpert competency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to program in VBA
  • Ability to work independently on most Python or R programming
  • Must be a team player - you work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Motivation to expand, learn and grow with a high performing team
  • Able to prioritise and be comfortable in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to operate with ambiguity (such as imperfect data/information) and work collaboratively and independently as required
