About the role:

As a Customer Marketing Manager focused on Tradie Engagement, you’ll play a central role in how tradies experience hipages—both on and off platform. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Product-Led Growth and our Job Management teams to deliver lifecycle strategies that support acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and long-term retention.

This role will report to the Head of Customer Marketing and act as a key point of contact for tradie-focused lifecycle initiatives within cross-functional teams.

How you will add value:

  • Lead and shape strategy: Partner with Customer Marketing leadership, Product-Led Growth, and Job Management squads to set strategy and prioritise high-impact initiatives.
  • Create and optimise journeys: Build, reimagine, and iterate on lifecycle programs using a test-and-learn approach that moves the needle on acquisition, engagement and retention.
  • Unlock data-driven insights: Use data, research, and behavioural signals to understand tradie needs, uncover new opportunities, and inform program design.
  • Think like a product marketer: Deeply understand the hipages product experience so you can craft communications that enhance and support tradie behaviour in-platform.
  • Execute personalised experiences: Own the tradie lifecycle channel strategy across Braze—including email, push, in-app, SMS and beyond.
  • Champion continuous improvement: Use experimentation frameworks to test hypotheses, measure impact, and scale what works.
  • Write for outcomes: Apply CX principles and digital copywriting best practice to create clear, compelling messages that drive action.
  • Tell a compelling story: Share your results, learnings, and rationale with stakeholders—bringing people on the journey with you.

About you:

We’re after a lifecycle marketer who’s commercially minded, confident in data, and thrives in cross-functional environments.

  • 3+ years of experience in a lifecycle, customer, or data-driven marketing role - ideally in SaaS, subscription, or platform-based businesses.
  • Strong familiarity with marketing automation tools like Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Amplitude, or Adobe Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience working in or with cross-functional teams across Product, Design, and Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience running tests and applying experimentation methodologies to improve outcomes.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills - you can clearly explain the “why” behind your work and the results it’s driving.
  • A passion for customers and the curiosity to understand their behaviours, pain points, and motivations.
  • Laser focus on metrics, with the ability to articulate what’s working and where to iterate.
  • Hunger to learn and grow - you’re someone who’s always looking to level up and push the craft forward.
  • An understanding of CDPs and 360 Customer Views is ideal but not essential.
