About the role:
As a Senior Data Analytics Engineer, you’ll build and scale analytics capabilities that power the hipages marketplace, shaping data models, products and BI foundations that drive smarter commercial decisions across the business.

You’ll add value by:

Championing dbt and modern analytics engineering practices at hipages
-
Designing and building end-to-end data models and pipelines using dbt and Databricks
-
Partnering with Data Analysts and Data Engineers to scale analytics use cases

Evolving our BI environment, analytics codebase and data products
-
Driving data quality, consistency and observability across the data ecosystem

Educating teams on analytics engineering best practices and ways of working
About You:
You’re passionate about data, enjoy solving complex problems and care about building things the right way. You’ll bring:

Strong hands-on experience with dbt and advanced SQL

Proven data modelling expertise (e.g. Kimball, Data Vault or similar)

Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure
-
The ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
-
A collaborative mindset, with confidence to lead and work independently

Curiosity, adaptability and a desire to continuously improve how data is used
Nice to have:

Experience in a marketplace or digital-native environment

Exposure to Databricks, Spark, Python or data visualisation tools

Knowledge of semantic modelling, data contracts or data lineage tools
