Working as part of our Buying team, you will be pivotal in the contribution to Showpo’s growth in this Junior Buyer role. Responsible for researching, planning, developing, and buying key brands & range categories. A key driver of the holistic category aesthetic from an own label perspective and ultimately accountable for the performance. Work with direct report to achieve KPIs including sales budgets, gross margin $ and %, intake margins, markdown targets, OTB spending accuracy, CSOH $, and inventory age are met and maintained.
Day to day, you will:
Maintain a deep understanding of the Showpo customer to identify current and emerging trends which shape and influence buying trading decisionsResponsible for managing a commercial and desirable range that meets sales budgets, margin targets, closing stocks, proposed range mix, and customer expectationsUnderstand and fill gaps (newness,repeats, developments etc…) in the range driving the trend and fashion relevanceBuild and maintain strong brand relationshipsEnsure purchasing is aligned with the company OTB budget requirementsCommercially manage stock flow, whilst delivering a high-performance and profitable product assortmentAnalysing and actioning weekly repeats / replenishment / recoloursWork with planning to manage core lines performance and take action accordinglyWeekly reporting, which includes trade report, best and worst, new arrivalsSeasonal analysis including SWOTs, supplier performanceImplementing strategy for pricing architecture, suggesting marketing and promotional strategies Identify new trends and product relevant to the customer through social media and local market awarenessTrend researchPricing and competitor researchEnsure products delivered adhere to quality standards around fit, fabric, trim, make and finish. Work with marketing team to provide key styles to promote for the season
Who we are looking for:
Experience working in a buying team as a Junior BuyerExcellent time management skillsSkilled in Excel and Google suite reporting (including pivot tables and v-look ups)Management of a junior team memberStrong communication skills with a great eye for detailAn excellent understanding of women’s apparel and a love for all things Fashion!
