Data & Integration Engineer
Who are we?
Drive Yello helps businesses efficiently manage last-mile delivery and connects them to gig economy drivers so they can meet the ever-increasing demand for convenience. We have ambitious growth plans and are looking for a passionate engineer to help drive the scaling of our business through data. We work with some of the largest retail clients here in Australia which include Woolworths, BWS, Dan Murphy’s, Coles, Terry White Chemmart just to name a few.

Who are you?
As a Data and Integration Engineer, you will be empowered to help make the most out of our data here at Drive Yello. You understand the importance of data, and having the right data available in the right environments to the right people. Security and privacy will be at the heart of what you do, so you are comfortable identifying and managing sensitive information.
Working closely with our business intelligence team, you will be responsible for the preparation and transportation of our data to our data warehouse while also staging the data for our BI reporting. In parallel, you will be responsible for integrating with other internal and external systems to transport our data to where we can make the best use of it. You will build up a deep understanding of our data, and act as an interface between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
This position is key to unlocking our data and driving our future business decisions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data, delivering clean solutions and thriving in a start-up environment.
You will work closely with the Head of Software Engineering while also working cross-functionally with our internal departments (Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Community Experience) to further scale data at Yello.
What we are looking for:
- A minimum of 2 years of software engineering experience within an Agile development environment
- Experience with Python and Node.js
- Experience in SQL databases, MongoDB is a plus
- Solid experience working with 3rd party APIs, data pipelines and moving data across internal and external platforms
- Experience with AWS or Google Cloud
- Ability to interact with a range of stakeholders, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive can-do attitude, an appetite for learning, and a passion for data!
