About the role

As a Business Development Team Leader, you’ll contribute to Sonder’s continued growth by leading the BDR team to achieve and exceed their targets and generate high quality sales opportunities for the ANZ Sales Team. 

Through effective leadership you will support the BDR team in achieving its pipeline targets by increasing sales efficiency, improving team and individual performance, and identifying opportunities for innovative business development strategies.


What you’ll be doing

  • Meeting and exceeding SQL goals by managing our team of Business Development Representatives to success.
  • Work with the People & Talent team to attract, retain and develop a high-performing team of BDRs & SDRs
  • As an experienced people leader, you will be expected to confidently coach your team, develop their skills, and get them ready for career development opportunities.
  • Provide regular feedback to team members on individual performance, supporting individuals to be their best
  • Partner with the Head of BDR to bring the campaign planning and BDR strategy to life.
  • Strategically execute BDR campaigns to deliver high-impact outcomes, resulting in a strong pipeline for our Account Exec teams. 
  • Participate in team-building and company growth activities including strategic planning and sales training

The ideal candidate will be an experienced people leader who is skilled in developing a high performing team through coaching and mentoring.

What you bring to the team;

  • 2-3 years proven track record of leading a high performing Business Development team
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members to reach their full potential
  • SaaS experience is highly regarded 
  • A deep understanding of predictable revenue models (and how this is changing)
  • Proven experience of sales development and value selling practices
  • Growth mindset, with the agility to adapt and learn.
  • Resilient
