We are seeking a full-time Electronics Engineer to join our Melbourne-based engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and validation of power electronic systems used in Relectrify’s battery energy storage products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering.

Role responsibilities

  • Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuits for power electronics and control systems.
  • Support schematic capture, PCB layout review, and component selection.
  • Prototype, test, and debug electronic hardware at the board and system level.
  • Conduct laboratory testing, including fault analysis, validation, and performance verification.
  • Support Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) activities.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and test reports.
  • Collaborate with firmware and systems engineers to integrate electronics into complete products.
  • Support continuous improvement of hardware designs for reliability, safety, and cost optimisation.

Requirements

Applicants must be willing to undergo pre-employment background checks (i.e. working rights, criminal history, and employment references). 

Essential: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience in electronic circuit design and hardware development.
  • Practical experience with laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, etc.)
  • Understanding of power electronics, control systems, or energy systems (desirable).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment.
