The Role

Catch is continuing to grow and so is the Development team. Catch has multiple Senior Web Developer opportunities to join the team, it’ll see you join a group of super talented developers and work as part of a multi disciplined squad. You’ll use your previous experience of PHP and frameworks in Symfony or Laravel stack environment to deliver on key project deliverables.

The role will see you contribute to overall application lifecycle. You’ll have a focus on coding and debugging and define and communicate technical and design requirements

Success in this role will see you build high-quality reusable code develop functional and sustainable web applications with clean codes.

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll build efficient, secure, testable, and reusable PHP modules
  • You’ll be involved in solving complex performance problems and architectural challenges
  • You’ll work on the integration of data storage solutions, such as databases
  • You’ll work on integration with external REST web services
  • You’ll collaborate and provide regular status updates on progress and challenges faced during squad meetings

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role

  • You’ll bring with your mid-level to expert understanding of PHP, with proficiency in Node, Python or Go being highly regarded.
  • You’ll be a strong team player and understand the part Git plays in managing project and code.
  • You’ll bring experience in Backend/Server-side programming and exposure to microservices
  • You’ll have understand RESTful APIs and message broker services
  • You’ll be proficient with SQL. Exposure to non-relational persistence (e.g. Redis) is highly regarded
  • We want someone that is genuinely excited by offering customers more features and improving their experience
  • You’ll bring experience with DevOps, build pipelines, and AWS is a plus
  • And most importantly, you will want to cultivate a happy and productive work environment, be a positive role model, and mentor those around you.
