We view the world through the eyes of our customers, and we do the right thing for our customers even when it is inconvenient. This role will be critical in helping us live our customer obsession by supporting functions that are crucial in our customers’ journey with us.

Reporting to the Group Manager – Product Integrity & Consumer Safety, you will be responsible for the quality, safety and compliance of local and imported consumer products covering areas such as toys, novelty, infant nursery goods and similar areas as required. You will also translate technical issues into easy to understand recommendations and work collaboratively across a variety of teams.

What does a normal day in the life of a Product Integrity & Consumer Safety Specialist at Catch look like?

Well… no two days at Catch are alike, but you could probably expect your typical day to include some of the following things:

• Managing regulatory compliance and associated product approvals to ensure products meet internal and external product safety standards.
• Conducting product assessments, and reviews of product testing, and inspection reports including working with external testing, certification, and inspection bodies.
• Providing technical support to the buying and marketplace teams to assist build their product, consumer safety and compliance knowledge
• Maintaining effective communication and relationships with all buying, regulatory, legislative stakeholders on matters concerning product safety and compliance
• Maintaining all relevant manuals and documentations for recordkeeping and training purposes

Requirements

What you'll bring to the role?

• Extensive Technical, quality assurance and compliance experience within the retail or supplier consumer goods environment.
• Understanding of related regulatory frameworks, product safety and Australian standards.
• A continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail
• Strong project management skills to drive results cross-functionally
• Ability to translate technical issues into easy to understand recommendations
• Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment
