Impact to our Community

We have an opportunity for a Product Manager to join us in a newly created role and be responsible for looking after our data platform services for our Growth (Customer) team. This includes our customer data and email marketing platforms (Segment and Iterable), Google Analytics, as well as many, many other tools.

As a Product Manager, this role will need to identify, prioritise, and champion initiatives that contribute to company and team goals. You'll have formal ownership of medium-large scale projects and day-to-day leadership of a small cross-functional team.

The aim of this role is to own the products that collect and make customer data available to other products and services for our internal stakeholders in the Growth team.  You’ll work primarily with other Product Managers, Marketing, Paid Growth and Analytics as well as our Data Warehouse team. You’ll build strong relationships to understand what their current and future needs are, as well as manage these competing priorities through to delivery.

We’re looking for a product manager with a strong understanding of the domain and technology, with previous experience with customer data platforms, data product strategies, and personalisation. Given your customers are primarily internal, this role will suit someone with a background in B2B or platform product management.

You’ll have the opportunity to build on this role as the scope of the Growth products increases and we take our recently implemented products to the next level.

Our Expectations

  • 5+ years experience developing technology products in best practice web/technology companies
  • Familiar with UX best practices and a track record of great partnership with the designers and developers on the team
  • Very familiar with Agile, comfortable in cross functional project teams (who would speak highly of working with you and the directions and drive you showed on their teams)
  • Exceptional strength in analytics
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in growing digital products, requiring agile planning and rapid prioritisation of the product development roadmap and enhancements
  • Strong commercial orientation enabling you to make solid 80:20 trade offs with long term impacts to the P&L in mind
  • Excellent planning skills and experience, naturally capable of seeing dependencies and driving others to deliver, while maintaining great relationships - a diplomat yet a driver of outcomes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Credible financial and technology skills to enable positive partnerships with Finance and IT/Dev
  • Aligned values with that of Envato’s
