Are you passionate about the Electronics & Appliances categories? At Catch.com.au, we are working with well-known brands and retailers to grow and expand the product offering for our millions of customers. This is a fantastic opportunity for a B2B Business Development Manager to network with and secure 3rd party retailers/merchants who will sell their products on the Catch.com.au platform. You will also analyse traffic and sales data to identify opportunities and feedback to help retailers/sellers succeed on the marketplace.

What does a normal day in the life of a Business Development Manager look like?

Well… no two days at Catch are alike, You could probably also expect your typical day to include some of the following things:

  • Define, execute and deliver a comprehensive seller recruitment strategy
  • Manage the preparation of commercial agreements and SLAs in conjunction with the legal and finance teams
  • Recruit and support sellers of various types (SMEs to large retailers) to execute on aggressive growth plans.
  • Be responsible for pipelining and reporting to the Category Manager & Head of Marketplace
  • Meeting with well-known brands and retailers to sell the "Catch Marketplace" opportunity
  • Work on increasing sales for our Electronics & Appliances sellers on the Catch Marketplace
  • Attending and networking at retail industry events
  • Working with the merchandising team on exciting promotions and marketing activities for your sellers
  • Liaise with Account Management team who manage relationships with existing sellers and assist with day-to-day operations
  • Use reports/metrics to spot trends and gather intelligence to grow sales and find new sellers

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in a sourcing/procurement/buyer related role in retail and/or e-commerce
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated drive to set and achieve aggressive growth targets
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills (including database analysis and Excel skills).
  • A passion for delivering outstanding value to customers
  • The ability to establish and build trusted advisor relationships with new and existing key accounts
