The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to join our dynamic Data and Finance team. This role plays a crucial part in providing precise and timely financial, accounting, and administrative support to our business. As the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing payment processing, expense oversight, payroll, and various financial reporting duties. Your role will serve as a linchpin in maintaining the financial health of our organisation.
Day to day, you will:
Execute payment runs and diligently reconcile expenses, purchase orders, invoices and statements to the general ledger.Calculate and process payroll transactions, ensuring adherence to compliance requirementsMonthly lodgment of GST/IAS/BAS Activity Statements while ensuring compliance, including support for international tax compliance.Assist in the closeout of month end performing general ledger entriesAct as the key financial liaison with wholesale operations to facilitate accurate invoicing and efficient collections of receivablesReconcile credit card transactions and follow up on receipts from the team Engage in data reconciliation related to inventory managementServe as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries regarding payments and creditsContinuously improve the payments process by developing procedures and supporting the team
Who are you?
Possess relevant accounting or finance qualificationsCA/CPA qualification (or working towards)3yrs + in similar accounting roleExhibit exceptional attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multitask and work independentlyExperience with SME accounting packages (particularly Xero)Excellent Excel/Google Suite skills
