Biography
I work with early-stage startups and new product development teams within the enterprise, on lean startup product management, growth marketing, and capital raising.
I draw on hands-on experience founding and co-founding web and mobile startups, as a seed-stage investor, and in senior management roles in larger organisations including Yahoo!, News Digital Media and Microsoft.
I have advised and invested directly in new Australian startups and through BlueChilli, Blackbird Ventures, Startmate, and Pollenizer Ventures. Now one of Australia’s best technical cofounders Emily Rich and I are raising capital for our first fund as M8 Ventures. Valuable startups need fast revenue growth from happy customers, who need a great product to be happy. But great products are hard to build. So M8vc is a dedicated pre-seed-specialist fund, focused on finding and guiding the best product and technical teams.
I'm interested in developing entrepreneurship skills in refugees and migrants, improving diversity and inclusion in tech, renewable energy, transport, smart cities, wearable technology, drones, AI and machine learning.
